A Psalm and A Prayer
Psalm 102

Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 102

Leader:  Hear my prayer, O Lord. Incline your ear to me. Answer me speedily in the day when I call.

People: All day long my enemies taunt me. Those who deride me use my name for a curse.

Leader: But you, O Lord, are enthroned forever. Your name endures to all generations.

People: You will rise up and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to favor it; the appointed time has come.

Leader: The Lord will build up Zion. He will appear in his glory. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

People: Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet unborn may praise the Lord.

Leader: Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you endure.

People: The children of your servants shall live secure. Their offspring shall be established in your presence.

Lord Jesus, in these days of uncertainty and trouble, we ask You for guidance, strength, and wisdom. We look forward to Your coming again to make all things right, according to Your precious promises. Come now, Lord Jesus. Fill us with Your Spirit. Give us insight to prepare for the future, even as we pray : “Our Father. . .”
