Psalm 108

Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 108

Leader:  My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and make melody.

People: Awake, my soul! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn.

Leader: I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples. And I will sing praises to you among the nations.

People: Your steadfast love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Leader:  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.

People: Give victory with your right hand. Hear our prayers, so those whom you love may be rescued! With God we shall do valiantly. He will tread down our foes.

Heavenly Father, we pray for all who serve You and their nation. We pray for Your protection upon all those in harm’s way. Bless all the families who have lost loved ones in the defense of our country. Show our nation’s leaders the right way to go and the right things to do, that we might always fight on Your side and achieve victory over Your enemies. Help us share the saving grace of Jesus Christ with all people, for You are no respecter of persons and You do not desire that any should perish. In Jesus’ name we pray: “Our Father. . .”
