Psalm 110

Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 110

Leader:  The Lord says to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”

People: The Lord sends out from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your foes.

Leader: Your people will offer themselves willingly on the day you lead your forces on the holy mountains.

People: The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Leader:  The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. He will execute judgment among the nations.

People: He will drink from the stream by the path; therefore he will lift up his head.

O God over all, You are my Lord. You reign as Lord and King over the universe that You have made. For a little while, the nations rage against You and Your Holy One, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But heavenly Father, we trust in Your promises, knowing that You will defeat all of Your enemies according to the times that You have set. Lead us in the way that we should go. Give us the wisdom and power to overcome the tempter’s snare. Enable us to be Your good and faithful witnesses wherever we go. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we can serve You, even as we pray in Jesus’ name: “Our Father. . .”
