Psalm 113

Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 113

Leader: Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord; praise the name of the Lord.

People: Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time on and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the Lord is to be praised.

Leader: The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

People: Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth.

Leader:  He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash heap.

People: He makes them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. Praise the Lord!

Heavenly Father, we praise You this day, for You are worthy to be praised! We ask You to work in the hearts of Your people, so we will honor You, not only with our lips, but with our very lives. Work in the lives of our nation’s leaders and people, that we might truly be once again “one nation under God.” Help us serve You at all times, and hear all our prayers in Jesus’ name: “Our Father. . .”
