Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 114 & 117

Leader: When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

People: The sea looked and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.

Leader: Why is it, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back? O mountains, that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?

People: Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.

Leader:  Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples!

People: For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

Father God, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists; we praise You as Lord and King over all the Earth, as Ruler and Judge over all the nations of the Earth. We praise You as our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Redeemer and Lord. Help us honor and serve You always, through the power of Your indwelling Holy Spirit. Now hear us as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ: “Our Father. . .”
