Psalm 119 j

Leader: Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.

People: Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word.

Leader: I know, O LORD, that your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness you will humble us.

People: Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promises.

Leader: Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.

People: I will meditate on your precepts. Let those who fear you turn to me, so that they may know your decrees. May my heart be blameless in your statutes, so that I may not be put to shame.

O Lord, our God, Creator of heaven and earth, help us to learn your commandments, treasure them in our hearts, and understand your perfect will as revealed in the Bible. Whenever necessary, humble us and remind us that following your law is always for our best and the well-being of others. As we remember your promises, may we always rejoice that they are based on your steadfast love. Help us show your mercy to others as you have shown mercy to us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in whose Name we pray. Amen.
