Psalm 119 l

Leader: Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all day long.

People: Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is always with me.

Leader: I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your decrees are my meditation.

People: I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.

Leader: I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.

People: I do not turn away from your ordinances, for you have taught me.

Leader: How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

People: Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

O God, our Father in heaven, as Your followers, we thank You for telling us about Your nature and character in the Bible. Your word does make us wise and enables us to live with confidence in You. As we meditate on Your word and learn more about You, please give us greater understanding, so we can keep away from evil and share Your grace and truth with others. As we begin a new week, fill us with the Holy Spirit, so we can bring happiness to Your heart in accordance with the purposes of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
