Psalm 143

Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 143

Leader: Hear my prayer, O LORD. Give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness. Answer me in your righteousness.

People: I remember the days of old. I think about all your deeds. I meditate on the works of your hands.

Leader: I stretch out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Answer me quickly, O LORD.

People: Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Leader: Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good Spirit lead me on a level path.

People: For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life. In your righteousness bring me out of trouble and save me forever.

Heavenly Father, You created me in Your image. You gave me the ability to love and serve You and others. In Your faithfulness, You have listened to all of my prayers. You have met all of my needs. When I think of Your past deeds, I have courage and hope. Help me to trust You always. As I study Your word, teach me the way I should go. Guide my steps by Your Holy Spirit, Who can turn my heart to walk in right paths. For the sake of Your name, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ as He taught me to pray, “Our Father. . .”
