Psalm 29

Leader: Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

People: Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in holy splendor.

Leader: The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over mighty waters.

People: The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

Leader: The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The voice of the Lord causes the oaks to whirl, and in his temple all say, “Glory!”

People: The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!

O God, You alone are worthy to be praised. You sit enthroned in the beauty of holiness. You reign as King of the universe and our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, we praise You; for You gave Your life that we might be freed and cleansed from sin. And now, You reign at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Fill us with the Holy Spirit and empower us to serve You as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
