Psalm 31 c

Leader: Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was beset as a city under siege.

People: I had said in my alarm, “I am driven far from your sight.” But you heard my supplications when I cried out to you for help.

Leader: Love the Lord, all you his saints. The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts haughtily.

People: Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord.

Heavenly Father, You love us more than we deserve and more than we can express in words. We seek to love You with a love that words cannot express. We seek to serve You with a love, faith, and steadfast hope that cannot be shaken. Send Your holy angels to surround us and protect us from all harm, from enemies that might attack us physically or spiritually. Fill our lives completely with Your Holy Spirit that we might stand firm against all adversaries that seek to pull us away from doing Your will on earth. Reveal to us the deeper teachings of the Bible, so we can obey and remain true to Your written word. And now we pray as Jesus taught us, “Our Father. . .”
