Psalm 32 a

Leader: Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

People: Happy are those to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Leader: I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

People: Therefore let all who are faithful offer prayer to you. At a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall not reach them.

Heavenly Father, we join with those who love You, who have confessed their sins to You, who have repented of their sins, who have received Your forgiveness, and who rejoice in Your cleansing from all sin. We praise You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who made all these things possible for us. He showed and taught us how to live as Your children, and by His grace we received salvation and eternal life through His death. We thank You for raising Him from the dead. Help us to praise and serve You always in the power of His Spirit, even as we pray, “Our Father. . .”
