Psalm 52 & 53

Leader: The righteous will see, and fear, and will laugh at the evildoer, saying, “See the one who would not take refuge in God, but trusted in abundant riches, and sought refuge in wealth!”

People: But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.

Leader: I will thank God forever, because of what He has done. In the presence of the faithful I will proclaim your name, for it is good.

People: Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they commit abominable acts; there is no one who does good.

Leader: God looks down from heaven to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.

People: O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.

Lord Jesus, I see the evidence of Your loving grace all around me, and especially in the hearts and lives of Your people. By Your grace, I have placed my faith in You for salvation and daily provision in this life. Make me wise in You, even as I pray, “Our Father. . .”
