Psalms 62

Leader: For God alone my soul waits in silence. From God alone comes my salvation.

People: God alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I shall never be shaken.

Leader: For God alone my soul waits in silence. My hope is in God.

People: On God rests my deliverance and my honor. My refuge is in God, my mighty rock.

Leader: Trust in God at all times, O people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us.

People: Those of low estate are but a breath. Those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

Leader: If riches increase, do not set your heart on them.

People: Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God. Steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord.

Almighty God, my soul trusts in You, for You are my Deliverer and my Strength. Increase my faith in You as I study Your word, experience Your grace, and receive the guiding power of Your loving Spirit. Lead me in the paths of righteousness, for Your Name’s sake. Enable me to live as a good example and sincere follower of Jesus Christ, Who taught us to pray: “Our Father. . .”
