Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 70 & 71

Leader: Be pleased, O God, to deliver me O Lord, make haste to help me!

People: Let those be put to shame and confusion who seek my life.

Leader: Let those be turned back and brought to dishonor who desire to hurt me.

People: Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you.

Leader: Let those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”

People: But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God!

Leader: You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay!

People: Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.

Leader: My mouth is filled with your praise, and with your glory all day long.

People: My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation, though their number is past my knowledge.

Leader: I will come praising the mighty deeds of the Lord God. I will praise your righteousness, yours alone.

People: My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you. My soul also, which you have rescued.

O Lord, we trust in You and Your lovingkindness to save us from all of our enemies, those within and those without. Defend and protect our loved ones, and fill them with love and trust in You, even as we pray in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ: “Our Father. . .”
