Teaching the Truth in Love

Psalm 87, 88, 89 a

Leader: On the holy mount stands the city he founded; the Lord loves the gates of Zion.

People: Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God.

Leader: O Lord, God of my salvation, let my prayer come before you.

People: Every day I call on you, O Lord. I spread out my hands to you.

Leader: O Lord, in the morning my prayer comes before you.

People: I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever. With my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations.

Heavenly Father, during this Advent Season, we entrust our lives to You, knowing that You do all things well. We thank You for inviting us into Your presence, and we thank You for being present with us. We thank You for the careful planning and preparation that led to the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that Your Spirit would guide us in the days ahead, that we might always be prepared to greet our Lord with loving hearts. Hear our prayers as we pray for others and ask You to heal and bless them abundantly, even as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
