Thoughts and Questions on Acts 4:32-5:11
Luke wrote, “All the believers were one in heart and mind" (Acts 4:32). What are some of the secrets that helped the First Church believers be “one in heart and mind”?
That all the believers were “true” believers? That church discipline was exercised with love, mercy, and justice when necessary? That the
believers truly loved God the Father, Jesus their Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit? That they Holy Spirit filled them? That they loved their leaders and one another? That they eagerly learned and obeyed the teachings of Jesus and the apostles (the Bible)? That they were humble, unselfish, and shared their possessions? That they wanted others to be saved in the name of Jesus Christ? That they all prayed and often prayed together? That they prayed for the Holy Spirit to give them boldness and courage to witness for Jesus?
What can churches do today for believers to enjoy and experience the type of oneness that Luke described?
What are some things that should be avoided or never done that would impose group unity?
What are some things your church, Sunday school class, or Bible study group have done to help believers be “one in heart and mind”?
