Psalm 119 c

Leader: Deal bountifully with your servant, so that I may live and observe your word.

People: Open my eyes, so that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

Leader: I live as an alien in the land; do not hide your commandments from me.

People: My soul is consumed with longing for your ordinances at all times.

Leader: Your decrees are my delight, they are my counselors.

People: My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word.

Heavenly Father, You have poured out Your blessings upon us; so many blessings that we cannot number them all. We thank You each day for the opportunity to live in Your presence. Fill us with a longing to learn more of Your word in the Scriptures. Empower us to live according to all that You teach us. Since we have received the free gift of salvation You offered to us through Jesus Christ, lead us to others who need to receive this gift. Help us live in such a way that they will be drawn to Jesus Christ, Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Who came to save us from our sins.  Amen.

Psalm 100

Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

People: Worship the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Leader: Know that the Lord is God.

People: It is he that made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.

People: For the Lord is good. His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Father in heaven, on this Resurrection Sunday, we praise You for giving us the assurance of life after death by the resurrection of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, from the dead. We also praise Jesus today. Because of His faithful obedience to You, an obedience that perfectly fulfilled Your law, He became worthy to die in our place. Lord Jesus, we thank You for dying on the cross so our sins could be justly forgiven. Father, we thank You for our faith in You and in Jesus; faith that You have inspired within our hearts by Your grace. Now, fill us once again with Your Holy Spirit, that we might live in a worthy manner and demonstrate Your love to others; fill us even as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
