Psalm 119 k

Leader: In your steadfast love spare my life, so that I may keep the decrees of your mouth.

People: The LORD exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven.

Leader: Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.

People: By your appointment all things stand today, for all things are your servants.

Leader: If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my misery.

People: I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.

O God, our great and glorious Creator, may we experience and recognize daily Your steadfast love and watch care over us. You speak truly in Your word and by Your precepts; help us to live according to Your commandments. We place our confidence in You and Your faithfulness; help us to stand firm in faith when we feel shaken by trials and temptations. On this blessed day, fill us with delight as we worship Your Son in the power of the Holy Spirit. By grace, Jesus Christ has given us eternal life through faith in Him, so we pray in His Name, Amen.

Psalm 100

Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

People: Worship the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Leader: Know that the Lord is God.

People: It is he that made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.

People: For the Lord is good. His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Father in heaven, on this Resurrection Sunday, we praise You for giving us the assurance of life after death by the resurrection of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, from the dead. We also praise Jesus today. Because of His faithful obedience to You, an obedience that perfectly fulfilled Your law, He became worthy to die in our place. Lord Jesus, we thank You for dying on the cross so our sins could be justly forgiven. Father, we thank You for our faith in You and in Jesus; faith that You have inspired within our hearts by Your grace. Now, fill us once again with Your Holy Spirit, that we might live in a worthy manner and demonstrate Your love to others; fill us even as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
