Psalm 119 o

Leader: We love Your law. You are our hiding place and our shield. We hope in Your word.

People: Uphold us according to Your promise, that we may live. Let us not be put to shame with our hope in You.

Leader: Hold us up, that we may be safe and have regard for Your statutes continually.

People: We have done what is just and right. Do not leave us to our oppressors.

Leader: Guarantee our well-being. Do not let the godless oppress us.

People: Deal with Your servants according to Your steadfast love and teach us Your statutes.

Leader: We are Your servants. Give us understanding, so we may know Your decrees and obey them.

People: Truly we love Your commandments more than gold, more than fine gold. Truly we direct our steps by all Your precepts.

Heavenly Father, on this Palm Sunday we thank You that Jesus Christ left no doubt that He was the Messiah when He rode into Jerusalem. We thank You that He rose from the dead and left no doubt that He would be our Lord and Savior by grace through faith in Him. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Help us draw closer to You as we pray each day in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 100

Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

People: Worship the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Leader: Know that the Lord is God.

People: It is he that made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.

People: For the Lord is good. His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Father in heaven, on this Resurrection Sunday, we praise You for giving us the assurance of life after death by the resurrection of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, from the dead. We also praise Jesus today. Because of His faithful obedience to You, an obedience that perfectly fulfilled Your law, He became worthy to die in our place. Lord Jesus, we thank You for dying on the cross so our sins could be justly forgiven. Father, we thank You for our faith in You and in Jesus; faith that You have inspired within our hearts by Your grace. Now, fill us once again with Your Holy Spirit, that we might live in a worthy manner and demonstrate Your love to others; fill us even as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
