Psalm 119 q

Leader: Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is the truth.

People: Trouble and anguish have come upon me, but your commandments are my delight.

Leader: Your decrees are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.

People: With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O LORD. I will keep your statutes.

Leader: I cry to you; save me, that I may observe your decrees.

People: I rise before dawn and cry for help; I put my hope in your words.

Leader: My eyes are awake before each watch of the night, that I may meditate on your promise.

People: In your steadfast love hear my voice; O LORD, in your justice preserve my life.

Heavenly Father, we praise You today for always being and doing what is righteous, just, merciful, forgiving, and loving. Father, we face numerous trials during the week, and our human bodies and minds sometimes suffer in this troubled world in which we live. Strengthen our faith in You and remind us of Your many promises, that we might hope always in You as we pray in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 100

Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

People: Worship the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Leader: Know that the Lord is God.

People: It is he that made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.

People: For the Lord is good. His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Father in heaven, on this Resurrection Sunday, we praise You for giving us the assurance of life after death by the resurrection of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, from the dead. We also praise Jesus today. Because of His faithful obedience to You, an obedience that perfectly fulfilled Your law, He became worthy to die in our place. Lord Jesus, we thank You for dying on the cross so our sins could be justly forgiven. Father, we thank You for our faith in You and in Jesus; faith that You have inspired within our hearts by Your grace. Now, fill us once again with Your Holy Spirit, that we might live in a worthy manner and demonstrate Your love to others; fill us even as we pray: “Our Father. . .”
