Psalm 24 a

Leader: The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

People: Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place?

Leader: Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully.

People: They will receive blessing from the Lord, and vindication from the God of their salvation. Such is the company of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

Lord Jesus, help us remember that all the earth and every created being belongs to You. You created and rule over the entire universe; from the very center of the earth to the farthest reaches of infinite space. We honor You with our lives and give You thanks with words of praise. We seek to understand the Bible, the Word of God, so we can love and serve You more faithfully. Whatever happens in sea, land, or sky, we entrust our lives and future to You. Give us greater wisdom so we can teach others about You and share with them the Good News of Your life, of Your death for our sins, and of Your resurrection from the dead. And now, fill us with Your Spirit as we pray together: “Our Father. . .”
